Patients are seen by appointment. Urgent cases will always be seen the same day but not necessarily with your usual doctor. When you ring up to make your appointment one of the Reception team will as you a series of questions to determine who is the most appropriate clinician or service for you to be seen by. It is helpful if you can give them this information but we appreciate not everyone wishes to do this.

Appointments can be made in person or by telephone but for routine cases please try to avoid the rush hour, which is just after 9am.

If you require and urgent “on the day” appointment you will be booked in for a telephone consultation in the first instance with Nurse Lang or Sister Roy. If they feel you need to see a clinician this will be arranged for you.

Patients may see the doctor of their choice.

We have been looking at how we can improve access to Practice services. DoctorLink is our new online service where you can access advice and appointments on line.

Registration is simple and you can register here:

For all urgent appointments, we ask that you undertake a symptom assessment through DoctorLink. The symptom checker will ask you a number of questions to help to identify your problem. The outcome of your assessment will direct you to the right treatment, whether emergency care, your GP, nurse or self care.

Please do everything possible to meet an appointment. Missed appointments prevent us from seeing other patients and drain the NHS’ resources.

However, if it is imperative that you cancel an appointment, please tell us as soon as possible. You can do so by telephoning 01604 713823.
