Patients are seen by appointment. Urgent cases will always be seen the same day but not necessarily with your usual doctor. When you ring up to make your appointment one of the Reception team will as you a series of questions to determine who is the most appropriate clinician or service for you to be seen by. It is helpful if you can give them this information but we appreciate everyone does not wish to do this.

Appointments can be made in person or by telephone but for routine cases please try to avoid the rush hour just after 9am.

If you require and urgent “on the day” appointment you will be booked in for a telephone consultation in the first instance by Sister Roy. If she feels you need to see a clinician she will arrange this with you.

Patients may see the doctor of their choice.

Online appointment booking / repeat prescription renewals:

We now offer online appointment booking and repeat prescription renewals. To set this service up, please speak to one of our receptionists, who will register you with a username and password and explain the booking process to you. To access this service, you will then need to use the URL provided by the receptionist.

Cancellations:

Please do everything possible to meet an appointment. Missed appointments prevent us from seeing other patients and drain the NHS’ resources.

However, if it is imperative that you cancel an appointment, please tell us as soon as possible. You can do so by telephoning 01604 713823.
